Survivorship
Finishing cancer treatment can bring on a full range of emotions including excitement, hope, happiness, uncertainty, and even fear. Many who have completed treatment report a transition period in which they must learn to cope with a “new normal”. This transition may include changes in the way you eat and exercise, changes in the way you view relationships, and changes in the way you manage stressors in your life.
With more than 11 million cancer survivors in the US, you are not alone. While it is good to rejoice in the completion of treatment, we know that for many, the need for support does not immediately subside. We also know that the completion of treatment brings new opportunities to make healthy lifestyle changes. We invite you to consider participating in any of these groups to address the challenges and embrace the opportunities you now face:
Survivor Groups
- On The Mend: Join others who have recently completed treatment to discuss the new challenges and emotions of recovery.
- Long Term Survivor Networking: This monthly networking group is an opportunity to exchange information and offer encouragement and support to other long term survivors.
