"Everything that is good in life is generated [at Wellness House]."
- Rob Wallin, Wellness House participant, breast cancer survivor
Taking a chance on a better life.
When Rob Wallin first received his diagnosis, he was reluctant to reach
out for support. With his wife Jan at his side, however, he took a
chance on Wellness House.
“It seems crazy now, but I wasn’t sure it would help me,” Rob recalls.
Once he and his wife took one step inside Wellness House those worries
became a thing of the past. Almost immediately Rob got involved in
stress-reduction, nutrition, and exercise programs. As a caretaker, Jan
found support that went far beyond a program schedule, too.
Rob’s cancer has now been in remission for a year, but he still stops by
Wellness House from time to time. The extraordinary energy of this
special place keeps him coming back to say hello to the people who
helped him and his wife through this difficult time.
Looking back, he could never have guessed how important Wellness House
would be to him.
“I was drowning in a pool of water and Wellness House was one of the
life preservers thrown to me,” Rob says. “Fortunately I was wise enough
to grab it.”
